Sportz Village Foundation’s flagship #SportForChange program has been designed to engage children, girls and youth from disadvantaged communities to help improve their educational and developmental outcomes through structured physical and sports education in public schools.
MILES is Sportz Village Foundation’s youth leadership model that uses sport and physical activity as a medium to build life skills in school-going adolescents. Through structured, sport-integrated sessions, young people develop the communication, resilience, leadership and social-emotional capabilities they need to navigate school, relationships and life beyond it.

From classrooms to communities, our impact reaches children across India. Explore the numbers behind the change.
Improved attendance and learning outcomes.
Improved physical health and well-being.
Greater inclusion, agency and safety for girls.
Stronger grassroots-to-elite pathways.
Improved aspirations and job readiness.
As concerns around physical inactivity, mental well-being and social development continue to grow among children and adolescents, sport offers a unique and evidence-based approach that simultaneously strengthens physical health, builds social emotional skills and creates environments where children can thrive.
The relationship between sport and education is often misunderstood as a trade-off. Our findings suggest the opposite. Across #SportForChange programs, students who participated in sport demonstrated stronger attendance, greater classroom engagement and improved academic performance.
For many girls, participation in sport is shaped by barriers that extend far beyond the playing field - from safety concerns and social norms to limited encouragement and a lack of opportunities designed with their needs in mind. Addressing these barriers requires more than access; it requires intentional program design and interventions.
Sport helps young people build resilience, teamwork, communication, decision-making and leadership. Through structured activities and youth-focused interventions, participants develop skills that support education, employment and future aspirations.
Every child deserves the opportunity to pursue their potential. Through talent identification and athlete development pathways, promising young athletes gain access to training, competition and progression opportunities.
