About Sportz Village Foundation

Sportz Village Foundation is the non-profit subsidiary of India’s largest school sports education organization Sportz Village, which for last two decades, is helping children from public schools (rural & urban) benefit from sports and physical education programs for improved developmental outcomes. Sportz Village Foundation initiatives encompass Sports Education, Sporting Excellence, Gender Equity, Community Development, Livelihood & Capacity Building, with footprints spanning numerous states, including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and more. Sportz Village Foundation is also on the panel of NSDC, CII, NITI Aayog, and several state governments as a strategic partner and advisor for sports education.
Sportz Village Foundation’s flagship program #SportForChange utilizes its highly awarded structured physical education program ‘EduSports’ to drive change in schools, enhancing health, education and social-emotional skills for children and has positively impacted more than 3,50,000 children across 1300+ public schools in India. The program is scientifically researched, highly tested, and well-integrated into the core education process of the schools; also aligns with the UNSDG (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) such as good health, quality education, gender equality, and sustainable communities. Sportz Village Foundation’s PathwayZ Sports Excellence program is modeled to identify, nurture and support sporting talent in schools and communities from grassroots to elite level. Currently, the program is engaging 4000+ student-athletes in 88 Sports Development Centres and High performance Learning Centres for various disciplines incl. Athletics, Football, Volleyball, Cricket and Kabaddi.

After the realization set in that he will not be making it as a professional footballer or Wimbledon great, Ankit decided to work in an industry that gives sports inclined youth the platform to realize their potential and set them on their way to achieving great things. He leads operations for the Foundation team, driving ‘sport for change’ programs in government schools across India. Ankit graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce with a Bachelor’s in Economics and earned his MBA in Marketing at MICA.

Nihit Singh

Lead – Product and Strategy,  Sportz Village Foundation

Nihit leads Product and Strategy at Sportz Village along with leading a few new initiatives. He loves building successful products from scratch. Nihit is an alumnus of the prestigious IIM Calcutta and Delhi College of Engineering. His personal interests are sports and traveling. He is also an international Racketlon player and participates in World Tour tournaments.
