The program has been implemented in more than 20 schools with an aim to improve the classroom as well as social behaviour of the children. The program has impacted more than 6,000 children.
DXC Technology has partnered with Sportz Village Foundation to implement the Sport for Change program in the government schools funded by DXC technology. Along with the objective of improving educational outcomes and classroom behaviour, the program also works towards nurturing the young adults to make them employable. In 2019, the program was implemented in more than 10 government schools in Chennai and had impacted more than 3,000 children. In 2020, the program will be implemented in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
With major focus on health, community development, enhancing classroom level behaviour and social emotional skills as well as improving classroom attendance, Collins Aerospace has partnered with Sportz Village Foundation to implement the Sport for Change program. The program is implemented in the government schools funded by Collins Aerospace in Bangalore. Post the implementation of the Sport for Change program, a 20% improvement has been observed in the fitness levels of the children belonging to the bottom quartile.
Sportz Village has tied up with the Sports Authority of Gujarat to implement structured sports & physical education program in government schools of Gujarat. The program includes daily in-school structured sports sessions coupled with an intense after-school training program.
Decathlon partnered with Sportz Village Foundation to launch in-school Physical Education programs in schools in Bengaluru and Delhi NCR with an aim to ensure the smooth return of 2000+ students (grades 1 to 8) to schools and improve fitness, academic and social-emotional levels of the children. The program also aimed to engage Decathlon employee volunteers who trained by the Sportz Village Foundation team, will implement the Sportz Village structured sports program and curriculum in the partner schools with continued capacity building, execution support, monitoring, and impact assessments by SVF.
The Muthoot Group, supported the launch of ‘Sports For Change’ programs across a selected cluster of government schools in the Bangalore region. Through this partnership, the Sportz Village Foundation baseline sports education program and structured sports curriculum will be introduced and implemented at government schools covering 1200+ children from Grade 1 to 5 with an objective to improve fitness, academic and social-emotional levels of children.
KPMG has partnered with Sportz Village Foundation to implement sports programs across 5 government schools in Bangalore. The program covers 1500 children from underprivileged backgrounds through a structured sports education program with the objective to improve health and social-emotional skills. As part of the program 80 talented children were identified for a Sports Excellence Program (Pathwayz) conducted across 2 SDC (Sports Development Centre) locations for Volleyball, Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi. The sports excellence program aims to create a roadmap for talented children to become elite athletes. An inter-school event was organized with the beneficiary schools on the 2nd and 3rd of March which saw participation from 50-odd employee volunteers from the KPMG side who were assigned as mentors for specific teams. The event saw a lot of enthusiasm and participation from children, teachers, and the KPMG team.
LatentView Analytics in partnership with Sportz Village Foundation conducted the Chennai Kaalpandhu League. The league provided a chance for talented boys and girls from government schools to take part in a competitive football tournament. As part of this initiative, Sportz Village Foundation conducted a talent hunt in 30 government schools and identified 180 talented boys and girls. In addition to participating in the league, the children were also put through a football training program which honed and improved their skills.
Chambal Fertilisers partnered with Sportz Village Foundation to extend outreach in the rural clusters of Rajasthan’s Kota and Baran districts across 20 schools and 6 educational institutes through Project Udaan. Project Udaan is positively impacting over 3000 children through baseline sports education program as well as rigorous sport-focused training at our Sports Development Centres (SDC). We organized inter and intra-school events and competitions to offer student-athletes a larger platform to showcase talent in a highly competitive environment. The cluster sports event comprised of shot-put, kho-kho, kabaddi, and tug-of-war, and track & field activities.
